The first “U14 Sparks Cup” will feature six teams. The tournament starts on Friday evening, with the final matches being played on Sunday before the U13Cup final matches.
For the first edition, we are going for teams from the Women’s Super League. “We are working very closely with KAA Gent Ladies for the start of the tournament. They helped us make the necessary contacts. A number of girls from the region also play in the U14 of KAA Gent Ladies. Giving local talent a stage at the very highest level has always been one of our motivations.”
