Renowned Swedish soccer school ‘Bromma’ comes to U13Cup
Brommapojkarna IF – ‘Bromma’ for short – is coming to this year’s U13Cup in Bassevelde. The Swedish soccer club is one of the most distinguished soccer academies in Scandinavia. The club is also active in the highest soccer league in Sweden and has delivered numerous top players in the past.
The Swedes had been on the U13Cup wish list for some time. Yet it never came about. “Bromma is really a big name in Scandinavian youth soccer,” said U13Cup president Joeri Hertleer. “We have maintained good contacts for years. Yet in the past we never managed to get the team to Bassevelde. That is the case this year. They guarantee technically groomed soccer. We are really looking forward to seeing what the ‘Bromma Boys’ have in store.”
Besides Brommapojekarna IF, Lille OSC, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and AZ from Alkmaar are also coming to the U13Cup. Earlier, Real Madrid, Celtic Glasgow, PSV Eindhoven and RB Leipzig were already announced. “The poster already looks nice, but there are certainly more great names to come,” knows Joeri Hertleer.
The U13Cup will take place from June 6 to 8 at the grounds of KVV Klauwaarts in Bassevelde. In addition to the U13 Cup, the U14 ‘Sparks’ Cup also features elite girls soccer and G soccer.
